I have been to NYC so many times. it’s one of my all time favorite cities. But part of that is because one of my best friends live there. I must say that my trip there this past July was the best trip to NY ever. And that’s because Angie and Scott got married!! and Scott is now officially Mr. Butt Nugget. (Butt Nugget is a nickname that Angie and I have had for each other since high school.)

Their wedding was absolutely perfect in every way possible. I love all the weddings that I’m involved with, whether I’m in the wedding party or the planner. But this wedding is truly so so special for me. 16 years ago, Angie and I met and we became inseparable. 13 years ago, she moved to NY for college. I was so sad. I even asked my parents if i could apply to NYU just so I could go to school with her. Who knows how things would be now if that had happened. Two years ago, Angie stood by my side as I married the love of my life. 4 months ago, I stood next to her as she married hers.

Enough of this sappiness! Onward to the good stuff!

I love the skyscrapers in the background. Don’t get to see that very often here in SoCal.

Such a heartfelt ceremony. Scott teared up right when Angie entered the room.

Angie and Scott loves going to the movies. So their favors were movie tickets with a small bag of popcorn!

Seriously… I just can’t get over this view!

Now, this blog entry is not quite over just yet! Angie and Scott scheduled a day after session with the fellas over at Cly Creation. Here are their beautiful photos! You would never have guessed that it was about 115* and humid as heck from these photos!

Classic, simple, sweet, romantic, fun, beachy…. those were the words that Alice and Marcus used when we first asked them to describe their ideal wedding.  After getting to know the two of them, we knew we had to add “chic” and “slick” to that list of adjectives.  We planned and designed from across the US for a wedding in another county  and I, for one, am very pleased with the results.  So please, enjoy  their classic, simple, sweet, romantic, fun, beach, chic, and slick wedding!

I’ve said it before… and I’ll say it again… Alice is beautiful!  So is her wedding dress, shoes, earrings, rings, bouquet, everything…

Look at that incredible view…. if I were able to redo my wedding unlimited # of times, one of those weddings would definitely be by the ocean.  We didn’t want to ceremony site to compete with the gorgeous view, so we kept it clean and classy with silver chiavari chairs, and a simple canopy swagged with white chiffon and adorned with small arrangements of purple orchids.  The chair arrangements added a nice pop of color.

The programs were made into fans, a great way for the guests to keep cool on a hot day in Mexico! And look at the ring pillow, which Alice adorned with small shells.  Perfect for a beachy wedding.

We decided to go keep the reception primarily white (can’t go wrong with the classic wedding color), and add color using lots of purple accents.  A cocktail lounge was set up to the side.  It was also swagged with white chiffon and lit up by purple uplights for a cool clubby/loungey feel

Escort cards/favors were seashell picture frames.  Alice and I also toyed between the idea of using sand dollars or seashells as the actual escort cards. But ultimately decided on the frames because they could also be used as favors.  Hey, when you’re traveling, the less you have to pack, the better!  Due to Alice and Marcus’ love of traveling, tables were named after places they have been together, complete with a picture of the two of them at each city.

I kept my selection of pictures pretty tame here, but when I looked through all the pictures, believe me when I say they definitely had a great time and really partied it up!

Alice and Marcus, we really hope you feel your wedding was everything you wanted it to be.  Congrats again to the two of you!  Hope you’re staying warm in NY!!
