I can’t even remember the last time I blogged! So terrible! As Mel previously mentioned, we are so so embarrassed by our lack of blogging. But you know, sometimes life gets in the way. Blake turned one recently, and my baby girl is 4.5 months! So although we have been MIA on the blog, we have been so busy with and blessed by such wonderful milestones in our lives.

Speaking of milestones, a baby’s first birthday is definitely something that needs to be celebrated! (Now that I’m a mom, I think that a baby’s first birthday is also significant for the mom, since she made it through whole year!) We were so honored to have planned Kylie’s Dol! Kylie’s mom, Gloria, told us from the get go, she wanted something beautiful, elegant, but still have some soft touches of girliness. She wanted to keep some of the traditional elements of a Korean Dol, but wanted it to be modernized as well. So we teamed up with Gloria and Fayaz at Bloombox Designs, started brainstorming, and came up with a palette of soft pinks and purples, with accents of butterflies!

The party itself was also so much fun! Cinderella and Sofia the First came to say hello. We had an amazing balloon artist and face painter. And as usual, the food provided by Pelican Hill was absolutely delicious! We even had a milkshake bar! It was mainly for the kids, but I think I saw more adults drinking the milkshakes!

Guests were greeted with this stunning halo of flowers and hanging butterflies… giving them a sneak peek of what was inside the ballroom.

Which was this amazingly gorgeous main table!

Bloombox adorned the chandelier with flowers and hanging butterflies. The perfect touch!

Kylie’s doljabi! Printed by Sugar Press!

Instead of the standard photo table, we wanted to go big and beautiful with a photo WALL!

The scrumptious dessert table!

Kylie was born in the year of the Dragon, so it is only fitting that we had a super cute girly dragon cake for the celebration!

Plus a traditional cake as well! Both were so lovely and delicious!

And of course, our darling birthday girl!

With her beautiful big sister and gorgeous parents!

The beautiful family

Beautiful pictures. I am planning my baby’s birthday right now, possibly at Pelican Hill as well. Can I ask, which room did you use there? There are so many choices and your space seems rather large too. Thanks!

Eunice + Brian :: Married :: Biltmore, DTLA

September 18 2014, Posted by Melissa

On with the blogging and finally sharing our first wedding of the year!

Eunice and Brian have to be one of our favorite couples to date (although we seriously LOVE all our clients!). Not only was planning with them a blast, but it has been so much fun seeing their updates during their first year as husband and wife #beyoumarriedlife! I’ve actually known Brian since our junior high days, so it was definitely a treat to reconnect and meet his absolutely charming bride Eunice.

As if that wasn’t enough to make me smile from ear to ear, they selected a gorgeous location that was perfect to plan a romantic indoor ceremony. Let’s just say that it screamed magical with a ton of candles, the perfect ambient lighting, classic florals and of course the charm of the historic Biltmore DTLA.

It was definitely a perfect day for the couple and dream team of vendors. Now onto some eye candy captured by photog extraordinaire Chris of Lin & Jirsa.

Loved that our thoughtful bride set aside a special moment for a first look with her dad

Honestly LOVE the romance of an indoor ceremony

Football for the garter toss? Umm, yes! What a fun spin on the tradition!

Such a great moment captured by Chris

Tracey + Eric :: ENGAGED :: Palos Verdes CA

September 12 2014, Posted by Cecilia
I could not wait to write about Tracey and Eric! Tracey and I get to spend about 9+ hours a day with each other so basically our days for the past year have involved nothing but wedding talk and maybe some actual work sprinkled here and there.

I’m pretty lucky to spend a majority of my day working with such a wonderful person.  Tracey is not only kind, caring but very helpful. She is also full of spunk and energy and not to mention…she loves to dance and sing. Oh and she has such impressive rapping skills! After meeting Eric, I could see the love and compassion he had for Tracey.  They are such a fun loving and hilarious couple and I loved spending every minute planning their big day with them.  They are definitely a perfect match for each other!

I cannot wait until this weekend to see everything put together. Its going to be such an amazing celebration with lots of love, laughter and a whole bunch dancing (and maybe rapping!)  Until then, we’ll just to have to enjoy their beautiful engagement photos.
